How 8 Ways Of Being A Good Leader Can Explode Your Home-based Business

Do you ever wonder why you see the same people up on stage earning all the money, year after year? They say they are doing the same things you are, but they are rich and you are not? How is this possible?

One reason is that they understand the importance of being a leader. They are in business for themselve, not for their upline or the company that provides their products. Their ability to think on their own two feet, make rational decisions and wear about 20 different hats gives others the impression that they know their stuff. They also have firmly grasped the concept of being a leader and how the following 8 characteristics apply to their business.

1. Knowledge
Keep a journal to gather information. You do not need to know everything, but sometimes a few things that you do not know will hurt you. The best way to use knowledge as a business building tool is to attend every conference call you can fit into your schedule. Listen and record, then review. If you are not continually learning and applying your knwledge to your business, how can you expect your downline to do it? Show them how important it is to learn by being a student yourself.

2. Vision
Your ability to see the future is critical to the success of your business. When you have vision, you can put one foot in front of the other and go after your goals. Leaders become inspired by the possibilities of what can happen tomorrow, next week, next month and next year. When you are able to visualize your future, you can inspire others to see theirs. Not everyone has the ability to use optimism as a motivator. Sometimes they need others to paint the picture for them.

3. Faith
Seeing the future and what it has in store for you is one thing, but actually believing it can happen is quite another. When you believe things are possible, you begin to have faith in yourself. When you find faith in yourself, you can then find faith in others. If you live in a constant state of denial, thinking that only good things happen to intelligent or lucky people, you will always be stuck. When you believe in yourself, you get the job done. When you believe in others, they get their job done.

4. Confidence
People like to be around others who have confidence. It lifts their spirit and inspires them to work harder. Leaders know what they have and are confident to acquire more. They also have the ability to help others aquire what they want. When you shift your focus away from yourself and give others confidence, you actually aquire more through their success. Only leaders know this is an important part of building a business.

5. Inspiration
Leaders inspire others of who they can become. Inspiration always comes from someone else first, so always look for the good in a person and absorb it. Everyone has flaws, but it takes a good leader to see the value in a person. Even if it is only one little characteristic. Just imagine how much of an inspiration you would be if you took each little bit of good that you see in others and collectively applied them all to yourself. People would beg you to work with them.

6. Integrity
Protect your reputation by always choosing the high road. Leaders show others how to have integrity and respect for themselves and their businesses by example. Problems always surface when you are trying to grow a business, that is inevitable. The way you handle the problems can make or break your success. If something makes you stop and think whether it is right or wrong, chances are good that it is wrong. Always do the right thing, no matter what.

7. Compassion
When you put yourself in other people's shoes, you have a better understanding of where they are coming from. Never lose your cool just because someone does not follow your plan or listen to everything you have to say. Sometimes circumstances become overwhelming and a person runs out of options. People hit brick walls and have bad times. Leaders who know how to show compassion without pampering keep their businesses strong. No one can cross back over a bridge that you burned by poor judgement. Always keep the door open.

8. Humility
You would not be able to grow a home-based business in network marketing without the help of others. Leaders remember that they are a part of something but not the focus. They are the part that gets things going, but it is the activity of others that gets the job done. When you have a larger-than-life ego, it turns people away. Treat others the way you would want to be treated and keep your focus shifted away from yourself. Helping others will give you all the satisfaction you need.

The bottom line is that you can not grow a business until you position yourself as a leader, and you cannot be a leader until you have applied these eight characteristics to yourself. This is the mindset that it takes to bring in 20-30 people a week into your business. If you don't think that is possible, you need to work on your vision, faith and confidence. When you believe it can happen, you start to look for ways to make it happen. This is how I turned my business around and how I inspire others to do the same.

There is no need for a 95% drop-out rate in network marketing. When you stop looking to your upline as the leader of your business and start being the leader of your business, dropping out will become a thing of the past.

Retirement Jobs: How To Grow The Nest Egg By Working At Home

Retirement means to "retreat and rest". Say what? Does that describe you? Times have changed. No longer rocking chairs are on the mind of retirees. Now it's the gung-ho attitude of starting the second chapter of your life. You now get to do what you want to do. Any old time you want to do it! Whether it's to indulge your love of travel or chase your spouse around the house.

One thing always on the mind of retirees or those soon to retire is money. There's no escaping money. We need it. We worry if there will be enough to see us through our retirement years. After all, we are living longer and we want to enjoy every precious day. To the fullest.

Some are lucky and can keep working in their careers past the "retirement age". Whatever that happens to be. Many people are glad to leave their current jobs and look forward to a different line of work. Surveys now hint that 60-90 percent of retirees will work after retirement. Amazing!

Reasons for After-Retirement Jobs

1. Necessity!

Rising health-care costs will eat up a chunk of savings. You want to supplement your social security pension. You'd rather keep building your nest egg instead of dipping into your savings. If for whatever reason, your retirement nest egg has already fallen out of the tree, you absolutely will want to supplement your pension.

1. Desire!

You want to keep mentally alert. Keep a sense of purpose in your life. Engage and interact with society. Stay young longer. Since you're going to live longer, you're planning to keep your body and mind up to the challenge.

There are many ways to make money when you are retired. Full or part-time. Companies see the value in hiring mature workers. Employers respect their work ethic. They are there to actually do the work instead of waste the employer's time and money by surfing the internet, checking in on chat rooms or playing online games.

Home based businesses excite retirees. Especially those who have always had the entrepreneurial spirit in their blood but were unable to indulge their passion. There are endless ways to start your own business today thanks to the internet. Just searching Google, you'll find enough to give you information overload. Retirees are creating their own products and selling them from home and online. There's affiliate marketing where you promote someone else's product and make a commission.

A booming trend is something called "homeshoring". This industry is poised for explosive growth. It's a term that simply means working at home for an employer instead of commuting to an office. The savings in a work at home job is a total turn-on for many retirees.

Customer service representatives are now employed for working out of their own homes. Again, thanks go to the computer and internet. Virtual call center jobs are in high demand. This is because it's less expensive to hire call center reps to work at home than to contract out to a major on-site call center.

Outsourcing overseas didn't help because English isn't the first language and customers had a hard time understanding the call center agent. So there's a flood of call center jobs heading home!

All you need is a computer and high-speed internet access to take advantage of this virtual reality. The pay can go quite high if you have a technical background. The hours are flexible. If you're a night owl, you will be swooped up in no time. Most companies want you to commit to at least 15 hours a week which is doable.

So now you have one other option to look into if you're retired or about to enter retirement and you don't like the idea of taking naps and shuffling off to sit in front of the television. Long live the second chapter!

Creating Multiple Streams of Affiliate Income - by: Steve Sharpe

Have you ever heard or read the phrase “multiple streams of income” before? Do you know what this phrase means? For many businessmen, creating multiple streams of income online or offline is one way of securing themselves as well as their businesses in the future. They also believe that it can also save them from the so-called famine effect in the business industry. Once you are engaged in affiliate marketing business, it is advisable if you have multiple streams of affiliate marketing income so that if one of those income streams vanished, it will not upset you the way losing your sole stream would. If you depend on just one source of income and this single stream has been downsized or has lain off, you’ll surely find yourself bankrupted and hopeless. Try to ask the most successful online entrepreneurs, and you’ll discover that they have established multiple streams of online income.

There is a businessman that said and attested that the very first step you must take in creating multiple streams of income is to assess or evaluate your resources. Start by assessing yourself first. Jot down your answers to the following questions: What are the talents, abilities, strength and gears that you possess? Are you gifted with excellent and creative writing skills? Can you do well at sales? Are you good in communicating with people? Are you born with an artistic skill or unique ability that other people don’t have? Through this, you can determine the kind of business where can possibly excel.

Next, look around and write down you assets and physical resources such as computer, color printer, scanner, digital camera, cell phone, CD or DVD burner. Write these all down because it can be used as a resource. Consider also your friends and family. Find out what do they possess that you have access to. Remember that no man is an island. You can use the talents, abilities, knowledge and resources of everyone you know.

That’s basically the initial step if you want to create multiple income streams. But if you’re already a webmaster or a site owner, you definitely have an edge. Why don’t you join affiliate marketing business to help you gain extra income out of your own website?

Being involved in affiliate marketing is one of the most desirable ways to make multiple sources of income. It is because affiliate marketing programs come in various shapes and forms. There are a large number of affiliate marketing programs that you can sign on with and start gaining bucks right away. In affiliate marketing, you can make money by promoting and reselling your affiliate products and by recruiting new affiliates. What’s good about this is that you can find widest array of training materials that can enhance your marketing abilities. In affiliate marketing, you can be sure that there are genuine products to promote and sell and there is real income to make.

Either part time or full time, being an affiliate marketer is an excellent way to create multiple income streams by means of promoting products and services from web merchants. Here, you can get affiliate commission without investing big bucks in making your own product and without worrying about book keeping, customer support and ecommerce. All you have to do is to promote and resell the products and services in your site and pass on potential customer’s the merchant’s site.

In affiliate marketing, it is advisable to promote more merchants in your site so that your visitors will have variety of destinations to choose from. Using multiple merchants in the same site or niche means only one thing – you have multiple streams of affiliate income. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this business strategy because this is one of the best ways to protect your business and expanding your horizons. Through this, you can be assured that you won’t experience crisis if ever one of your web merchants closed his/her program.

However, you should choose only those affiliate programs that interest you so that you can effectively advertise and promote them. Don’t ever be tempted into signing up for numerous affiliate programs in the hope that one of them will bring income. Select wisely and don’t be engaged in selling products you know nothing about. Go with the stuff that jives with your enthusiasm; your passion can capture your client by the nose and guide him/her to your affiliate link.

You should also work hard to make your multiple streams of income more stable. You can do this by embracing some strategies and tactics and by developing within yourself, some traits that can help you become successful in any kind of business such as patience, persistence and thirst for knowledge.

Lastly, just remember the adage that says “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.” So that if one of them is lost, you can still have some to make omelets. And what do these eggs have to do with multiple streams of affiliate income? Well, it goes without saying that the more streams of income you possess, the bigger and better your money lake becomes.

Part-time Income For Internet Dummys

Every day there are thousands of people who get online searching for a way to produce a part-time income from the internet. As many people as there are searching for a way to find that extra income, there are even more who are willing to take their money to show them how.

It is not easy to find a good way to earn a part-time income on the internet but I have been doing so for the past couple of years and I can tell you there are good companies out there if you know how to find them. Doing your research is the key.

Here are some precautions that I use to dtermine whether I think a company is a possible opportunity for a part-time business income for me or guys and companies using a lot of hype looking to take my money.

Make sure you can contact the owner of the business or the promoter of the business with any questions you might have. If it is legitimate, there will be an email address or a phone number where you can contact someone to get your questions answered. Find out how long it takes them to respond to you. If it takes a few days, beware as this might be an indication of how it will be when you join this business.

If they convince you that you will show you step-by-step how to make thousands per month with only an hour per day of work, run! It takes a lot of skills to make that kind of money and trust me when I tell you it won't happen without skills and a considerable amount of time.

There is no such thing as the greatest product in the world. Juices, pills, lotions and potions, etc., are always being produced a little better and cheaper than the competition so do not get caught up in a product being unique. People will always search for a cheaper alternative. Don't let companies convince you otherwise.

Make sure you don't have to spend hours per week on training calls that are full of nothing more than pep talks. Also, don't feel you need to spend countless hours trying to learn the necessary skills to make an income on the internet. You don't want a second full-time job do you?

I can only tell you that I have never had a friend or family member become successful in any business I recruited them into. All it did was create uneasy situations at family gatherings. Beware of thos guys or companies who tell you you need to recruit friends and family.

It takes a great knowledge in getting traffic to a website that is selling products or services. Even though a company may supply everything but the promotion of the website, if you lack the skills or money to promote the website, you will fail.

These are the major precautions I consider when I look for a part-time income on the internet. There are others, based upon my experience but the bottom line is not to let hype take over your common sense. If it sounds too good to be true...it probably is. Take the advice of this Dummy!
